Overview

Opinion Outpost is a research panel that encourages individuals of all backgrounds to sign up to answer surveys online. For every survey completed, participants earn points that can be redeemed for cash.

History

In the winter of 2009, Opinion Outpost expanded its research panel services into the UK. In order to generate brand awareness and encourage new customers to sign up, Opinion Outpost was looking to run their offer with an interactive media agency that had international distribution in the affiliate marketplace. After learning about Direct Agents’ global reach and presence, Opinion Outpost decided to use Direct Agents to launch and manage their affiliate marketing program in the UK.

Proposal

Direct Agents launched the Opinion Outpost campaign on the in two phases. In the initial phase, the strategy was to identify key publishers forecasted to deliver the volume that Opinion Outpost needed with building their newly launched international panel. Top performing international affiliates were chosen to help Opinion Outpost reach new customers on a CPL basis.
During the second phase, Direct Agents was looking to ramp up the traffic by utilizing a mix of display and email traffic by maintaining the conversion benchmark that was dictated at the beginning of the campaign.

Results

Within the first six months of the campaign, the Opinion Outpost campaign saw a 718% increase in lead volume. Since Direct Agents was the top lead provider for Opinion Outpost, Opinion Outpost turned to Direct Agents to help them expand their business and garner new customers in Germany, France, Italy and Spain. They also have started an affiliate marketing campaign for their US business with Direct Agents.

Future

The future for Direct Agents and Opinion Outpost holds an ongoing relationship with more strategic partnerships being formed. By leveraging Direct Agents distribution and expertise in the online and international markets, Opinion Outpost plans to continue to utilize Direct Agents for their affiliate marketing needs.
