Email Targeting and Lead Campaign Results in New Customers for High-Tech Electronic Manufacturer
Background
Samsung, a Fortune 500 company, is a leader in high-tech electronic manufacturing and digital media. In Q3 of 2009, Direct Agents was presented with an opportunity to help Samsung reach and acquire new customers and help them promote, educate and sell new Samsung products.
Approach
Direct Agents developed a focused media plan based on the goals that Samsung had outlined for their new customer acquisition campaign. After reviewing Samsung’s goals, the Direct Agents Lead Generation and Prospect Email programs were chosen in order to help target the brand’s core demographic. For lead generation, Direct Agents used proprietary sites and technology, as well as partnerships with high quality publisher sites, to deliver new leads of consumers interested in Samsung products. The campaign allowed for immediate results as well as long term growth opportunities for Samsung to market their products to a developed database. For the Prospect Email campaign, Direct Agents identified key email partners which fit Samsung’s target demographic. Direct Agents utilized their exclusive email lists and deployed targeted campaigns on a CPM basis.
Results
By implementing the Lead Generation and Prospect Email programs, Direct Agents was able to meet the needs of Samsung. Samsung received new signups for their products after launching their campaign with Direct Agents. In addition, they garnered a strong response rate from the emails that were deployed.
As a result of Samsung’s goals being met, Direct Agents won second round budget to continue the program for the rest of 2009 and 2010.
